Eine deutsche Übersetzung dieser Biografie folgt.
Annabelle Whitestone was born in Liverpool in 1944 and grew up in London.
She started working in concert management at the age of 19 with Howard Hartog at Ingpen and Williams in London and immediately found herself organising a tour of Australia and New Zealand with the JC Williamson Theatre Company for Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonyng. She then worked at Ibbs & Tillett and then at Wilfred Van Wyck before moving to Madrid in 1969, at the insistence of violinist Henryk Szeryng, to work at Conciertos Daniel with Ricardo de Quesada. She left Madrid in 1976 to live in Paris with Arthur Rubinstein and help him with the second volume of his Memoires. She remained with him until his death in December 1982. She later married publisher George Weidenfeld and they remained married until his death in 2016.
Following her old friend Menahem Pressler’s life-threatening illness aged 92 in 2015 she helped him resume all his professional activities and lived with him until his passing in 2023.
She is a member of the board of directors of the Jerusalem Music Center and the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society as well as the Advisory Board of the Jerusalem Foundation.
